We don’t use foam in our panels - instead, we rely on the insulating power of trapped air within a dense honeycomb structure. Air is a poor conductor of heat, and our 8 mm cell size creates about 318 sealed air pockets per square foot, preventing convection, air circulation and reducing heat transfer.

While 1" of still air has a theoretical R-value of about R-5.5, our honeycomb structure combined with the panel skins and polyurea coatings achieves around R-5, and R-6 with carpeted ceiling panels. For comparison, 1" of EPS foam or 600-fill goose down are both about R-5. Each works by trapping air, just as our panels do.

Beyond insulation, honeycomb panels offer significantly higher impact and structural strength than foam cores, making them far more durable in demanding environments. See video demonstration HERE.
